GENERAL QUESTIONS

+ How should I eat Bogg’s Trail Butter?
Bogg’s Trail Butter is delicious in many different ways. By itself, straight from the flexible pouch is instant whole-food nutrition while on a long hike or trail run. It’s great spread on a piece of toast. Enjoy it on fresh fruit. Try it on a cracker. Kids like it on celery, a new spin on “ants on a log.” Make a sandwich and call it a “TB and J.”

+ Does Bogg’s Trail Butter require stirring at room temperature?
It shouldn’t. We add a vegetable based emulsifier to prevent ingredient separation. It is an all natural product so  slight separation may occur.

+ What is the shelf life of Bogg’s Trail Butter?
We have established a 1 year shelf life for unopened products. After opening, Trail Butter is generally good for at least 2 more months before you’ll begin to notice a reduced freshness in the form of less crunchiness and depth of flavor.

+ Does Bogg’s Trail Butter require refrigeration after opening?
The short answer is no it does not. We use only roasted nuts and dried ingredients. In order to maximize freshness it can be refrigerated, you’ll just need to warm to room temperature before it’s spreadable again.

+ Where can I buy Bogg’s Trail Butter?
Bogg’s Trail Butter is currently available in retail outlets focused in the Western US, including Whole Foods around Portland and the Norcal Region, as well as New Seasons, and a host of private outdoor specialty shops. It’s best to visit our store locator under retail tab and find the location closest to you.  Bogg’s Trail Butter is also available here on our website under the Shop tab.

 
NUTRITION AND INGREDIENTS

+ Is Bogg’s Trail Butter gluten free?
Yes it is. Not one gluten in any of our flavors.

+ Is Bogg’s Trail Butter vegan?
We use clover honey as a natural sweetener, therefore Bogg’s Trail Butter is not a vegan product.

+ Is Bogg’s Trail Butter dairy free?
Two of our three flavors are, Mountaineer Maple and Expedition Espresso.  Ozark original contains semi-sweet chocolate which may contain dairy.

+ Does Bogg’s Trail Butter contain GMO’s (genetically modified organisms)?
We do our best to source ingredients from supplies committed to finding the best most natural product out there. We are not certified GMO Free however. That certification will be coming soon.

+ Does Trail Butter contain refined sugars or High Fructose Corn Syrup?
Of course not. Bogg’s Trail Butter is a 100% natural product sweetened only with clover honey and other natural sweeteners depending on flavor.

+ Is Bogg’s Trail Butter organic?
Currently Bogg’s Trail Butter is not organic. Our ingredients all come from suppliers committed to furnishing the freshest , highest quality additions to our product.

+ How many calories does a serving of Bogg’s Trail Butter contain? And fat?
A standard 2 tablespoon serving is approx 180-200 calories. It varies slightly between flavors. Each flavor contains about 15 grams of fat per serving. It’s the good kind of fat, that your body needs to remain balanced. None of our flavors contain “trans fats.”

 

SHIPPING AND RETURNS

+ When will my order ship?
Orders are typically processed and shipped 2-3 business days after the order is placed.

+ Do you ship outside the United States?
Yes we do, but international shipping charges can be pretty steep. Send an email to info@trailbutter.com with your full address and desired order, and we’ll reply with a price quote for you to consider before proceeding.

+ What if I would like to return or exchange an item?
Edible items: Unfortunately, due to regulations, edible items cannot be returned or exchanged even if they are unopened. However, if you are not satisfied with your order of Trail Butter, we want to hear from you! Email or call us at the contact information below.

Merchandise: Unwashed and unworn apparel items can be returned for a refund or exchanged for a different size if in stock. Please email us at info@trailbutter.com with the subject line “Returns” and include your name and order number to get the process started. Refunds and exchanges will not be processed until we receive the original items. You can either pay for your own return shipping or we can email you a label and the shipping will be deducted from your refund.

+ What can I do if I received the wrong order (wrong flavors, quantity, etc.)?
We’re sorry we messed up! Let us make it right. If you did not receive what is on your packing slip, please email us at info@trailbutter.com with the subject line “Wrong Order” and include your name and order number to get the process started.

You can choose one of two options:
1. Keep the incorrect item(s) and receive a refund for the value of the incorrect item(s).

OR

2. Keep the incorrect item(s) and we’ll ship you the correct item(s) at no cost to you.

Please note that if the shipment matches what is on the packing list, the order is considered correct.

+ My order arrived damaged. Now what?
Send a photo of the damaged product to info@trailbutter.com with the subject line “Damage”, include your name and order number, and we will replace the damaged item(s).
