Sean Meissner – Ultra Runner & Coach

Sean has been a runner for most of his life (his first official race was Bloomsday 12k in 1983), and has focused on ultramarathons since his first one in July, 2001. He currently has 167 ultra finishes (plus 72 marathon finishes), and has won at least one ultra each year since he’s been racing them. Although he focuses on ultras, he enjoys dabbling in a variety of race types and distances (road, trail, xc, 1 mi to 100+ mi). He definitely love racing a lot, but what Sean really enjoy the most is running all day in the mountains with his dogs. Being out all day, playing in the mountains, with everything he needs in a small pack, is about as cool as it gets. Sean founded and is the race director for the Peterson Ridge Rumble 20 and 40 mile trail race in Sisters, OR. This is the 14th year of the Rumble, which serves as the primary fundraiser for the Sisters High School Cross Country team. This is also his 14th year as a member of Team Montrail, and 10th year as a Nuun Elite Ambassador. Sean feels extremely fortunate to be supported by great companies that he really loves and believes in.
