Description

Our Spiced Chai Holiday Fundraiser is back for year 2! After raising $2200 last year for the Himalayan Cataract
Project and enough to fund nearly 90 life-changing cataract surgeries, this year we’re extremely excited to
donate $5 from every jar sale to @theconservationalliance, of which we’re a proud member. This money will
go directly towards the ongoing effort The Conservation Alliance and others are deeply engaged in to protect
the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge from oil and gas drilling. Please join us in this cause and take a stand for
wilderness and the preservation of our largest, and perhaps most important, National Wildlife Refuge!

Proudly made local Portland products, Kinglet Tea©, Jacobsen Salt©, and Bee Local Honey©!

More info….

The Arctic National Wildlife Refuge has been front and center in the news lately as its pristine wilderness is
under threat of being opened for oil and gas drilling. Thanks to the efforts of The Conservation Alliance,
Alaska Wilderness League (@keepalaskawild) and so many others, the House of Reps recently passed a
historic bill to protect the Refuge from oil and gas exploitation but this battle is far from over. It still needs to
pass the Senate, a less likely outcome, and, the Trump Administration has greenlighted nearly the entire
Coastal Plain of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge to development with the release of its final Environmental
Impact Statement (FEIS), hoping to hold drilling lease sales for the Refuge before the end of the year.

What can we do??? Besides a Spiced Chai purchase of course;), be sure to make your voices heard by calling
your Senators and telling them to protect the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge: (202) 224-3121. And tell your
friends and family to do the same. If you’re feeling passionate to get involved, yet unsure how to do it, the
folks at The Conservation Alliance stand at the ready and can be reached at info@conservationalliance.com.

Thanks so much for your support!
